Logo Design Brief
We are seeking a strong, minimalist, and beautifully designed logo for our company, SAME SKY. SAME SKY provides employment opportunities to HIV-positive women in Africa struggling to lift themselves out of poverty. Instead of a handout, we offer them a hand-up and a chance to rebuild their lives. Our mission is to use jewelry to effect global change—one woman at a time.
The women of SAME SKY are employed as artisans and make 15-20 times the average wage in Sub-Saharan Africa. SAME SKY jewelry retails from $30 - $400, thus the price point reflects not only our fair-trade mission, but the high-end quality of each piece.
We would like to see designs that do not pertain solely to Africa, as we hope to expand to help more women across the globe in the future. Although we have a "for cause" mission, we want to see designs that additionally reflect a high-end/high fashion aesthetic. We have been featured in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Vanity Fair, People StyleWatch, NY Times Sunday Styles, WWD, Daily Candy etc.
In addition to our website and trunk shows/events, SAME SKY products sell/have sold at Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, SAKS, DKNY, Free People... to name a few.
