Logo Design Brief

I am starting a new business in the field of music. It is a music news, photos and reviews webzine. The website will feature music news, concert reviews, album reviews, artist interviews, photo galleries and much more in a magazine style website. The URL will be www.mnprmagazine.com and the tagline/motto is 'Music News, Photos, Reviews' I would like the logo to be the letters 'MNPR', or 'Music News, Photos, Reviews, with the tagline underneath or something like that. I'm also open to the logo being image and text or just text, but must look totally professional and not like a gimmick. The overall logo style could be in the style of a press/AAA/backstage pass or something similar but must refelct music in some way. I do like the logos on www.shootingtherockstars.com and www.patchcordnews.com. The logo will be used on the website and on business cards and other promotional materials so I would need the logo in several formats, .pdf, .jpeg, and transparent .PNG. etc

The text has to be clear and readable especially when used for materials such as pens and polo shirts etc and perhaps another logo that just says mnprmagazine.com would be advisable as well for these types of uses.
