Logo Design Brief
Project Description
PRTC is a public transportation organization located in the Prince William County area– a subset of the Northern Virginia region in the United States (U.S.). PRTC is rebranding the organization to better position itself as a regional transit leader in a community that is widely known as one of the worst traffic areas in the U.S.
PRTC’s goal is to be recognized as the easier way for people to get where they want to go through multiple and convenient transit options. These options include PRTC’s commuter and local bus services, carpools, vanpools, ridesharing, and its partnership with the instant carpooling (slugging) community. PRTC also wants to help people make sense of transportation-related information in the region.
As a part of the rebranding strategy, PRTC will use OmniRide as the brand name for identifying and marketing all PRTC services. This rebranding process also includes designing a new logo for the organization with the new brand name.
The logo must be sleek, simple, classy, and indicate movement.
SIR will crowdsource the logo design using DesignCrowd, SIR’s recommended platform. SIR will collect over 100 different designs, narrow the designs to the top five choices, and present them to the client on November 20 for their review.

Updates
Project Deadline Extended
Reason: We would like more diverse types of designs. Although the designs we have received look okay, we want to see other design options besides the bug option.
