Book Cover Design Brief
MY PEN NAME IS KATE VENN.
Apologies to everyone that I have updated my brief.
On the front cover I would like FIFO'd written in quite bold font (modern) and an image of an out line (silhouette) of a woman (Just like would be on a toilet door for women) holding hands with the silhouette of a domestic plane. I imagine the silhouettes to be black or dark grey and the font to be red with a white background.
Updates
Project Deadline Extended
Reason: I have struggled with my brief to know what to ask designers for but I have come up with a better idea and would love to extend to see if my brief is much clearer xx

Requirements
Must have
- Front, back and spine for a paperback and also a design for an ebook.
- Blurb: FIFO, the other four lettered F word.
- FIFO’d tells the story of three women who swing from time with their fly-in fly-out lovers to time alone.
- Jodie swings from one week with Pete, to two weeks without. She is strong, messy and full of heart. Can she survive the chaos and the separation?
- Jodie’s younger sister, Ella, swings from one week with Max, to three weeks alone. She craves attention and goes looking for it in likely places. Ella is not sure that one week in a month is enough for a marriage to survive.
- Ella doesn’t know that Max also spends one week with Lyla, who then spends three weeks by herself. Lyla has lost the blueprint that was going to lead her somewhere fabulous. She lost her mother and her bearings. With a new job researching women in violent relationships, she is trying to work it all out.
- This is a story of dirt, coastal froth, loneliness, airports, fish, rosters, phone calls, mines, distance, time, country, independence, stars, laughter, sex and imperfect days.
- A white rectangle for an ISBN number on the back cover.
Nice to have
- As above
