Logo Design Brief

Develop a fresh, modern interpretation of a historical family crest design. The crest is the front legs, chest and head of an antelope (thought to be an African water buck) rearing up with an arrow or lance piercing its chest. A second, older interpretation of it shows two collars around its neck, above the lance. I wish to get a simplified format, though not too basic, with the initials K A (short for 'Kobus Argent' - bastardised latin for 'silver water buck') beneath the design. It needs to be distinct both when rendered with colour and as B&W outline. I have attached a trace of the original as a guide.
