Infographic Design Brief

This is an infographic to light-heartedly demonstrate how resumes (CVs) have changed over time. One idea I have been considering is basing it on the evolution of man illustration showing an ape gradually standing straighter until it becomes a human. I open to other suggestions. The final (current) resume illustration will incorporate all the features offered by our resume service and will be supplied later along with additional material.

I like the tiger graphic because of the main image / side image layout. I like the Ecosphere one for the style. The other I like bc of the quantity of information it communicates.

The final image - of the resumes - are samples of the final product, which may be used to demonstrate the present state of the art.

Updates

For the example of the modern day resume, I would like text pointing out its features / options, such as:

- sleek, modern design
- personal profile with clear value proposition
- work history, demonstrating additional value brought to the role
- contact details, including LinkedIn profile
- visualisations of achievements
- optional QR code, linking to your personal website

For the earlier stages of evolution, the following text can be used:

*Letter of Introduction*
Basically, this approach was: Please hire my nephew. Signed, An Important Person

*References Only*
Letters from past employers explaining that the applicant wasn't prone to stealing the silverware or interfering with the cook.

*Past Jobs and Employers*
Not very engaging, listing past job titles was nevertheless sufficient in an economy where people stayed in the same sector their whole career.

*Personal Biography*
A strange phenomenon of the 1990s and 2000s, resumes included extraneous information such as date of birth, marital status, hobbies, interests and religious affliation.
