Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a FIELD hockey association in country Western Australia. This sporting association has been newly created to encompass both men, women and children - and it is the first association in this area to do this with hockey. We are several small towns that make up this community organisation. We would like a design that reflects our family and community togetherness. It should also include a hockey element [or reflect that we a hockey oriented] - PLEASE NOTE it is FIELD hockey NOT ice hockey...
It should be in the colours Black, Red and White - those are our colours.

Requirements

Must have

• A hockey [field hockey] element somewhere.
• Reflect family/community alignment and togetherness
• Colours red/black/white

Nice to have

• It would be cool if the fact we are from small country towns coming together to form this association could be translated somehow. We are tiny towns and together we're stronger. No idea how to put that in a logo but it would be very cool to see!
• I also had an idea of maybe instead of a shield, you could have a hockey net/goal. and then the letters EDHA inside. maybe the "A" in EDHA could be shaped like a hockey stick??

• It is NOT ice hockey. Please no ice hockey designs. Also we are Australian, so no American motifs.
