Logo Design Brief

I need a business card for a new company called 'Safe Work Services'.
This company will provide workplace investigations into workplace incidents involving employees - aimed at improving safety not blaming someone. The company will also provide investigation training for staff so they may undertake internal safety investigations.
The company goal is to work with companies to ensure a safe work environment - to make safety accessible to all employees.

I want this included on my business card and email signature -
'Because Safety Matters'

I would like a design that is contemporary depicting safety and positive thinking towards safety -something not too busy or obscure. The colours I envisage would be green (not drab or dark) or blue or black even red - or a combination of two or three.

I have previously thought about cogs of a wheel or a hand or something in the maths or science areas to depict thinking.
