Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a green energy finance company based on the Gold Coast in Australia called Smart Energy Finance. The company provides finance solutions for other companies wanting to invest in sustainable energy equipment and infrastructure for their business premises. This includes, but is not limited to financing low energy lighting, solar panels PV, wind energy solutions, water conservation/grey water solutions. The company specialises in these types of finance arrangements, and is only available to commercial entities - no domestic users - and does not deal with other types of finance for business equipment or vehicles. Hence the name Smart Energy finance, as it deals with a variety of sustainable energy solutions. The logo we want needs to have almost a clip art feel about it where the logo itself is not too tight and polished, but still has a rustic environmental type feel. We like the idea of using a stylised low energy light bulb to communicate the concept of smart or idea, and we lean to the use of earthy colours, but not too over the top with the use of green, as this may be a bit too cliched. The typography to go with the logo is simply Smart Energy Finance. I Have attached a logo that is currently in use by the parent company, Evans Finance. If this can be used in the Smart Energy Finance logo, then that would also be ideal.

Target Market(s)

Target market is two-fold - 1) is sustainable energy vendors - those companies who sell solar panels, low energy lighting, etc., to commercial clients. This target market will choose to use Smart Energy Finance as their finance provider to their customers in order to get more sales done more quickly, and remove the obstacle of affordability, and provide financed solutions for their customers. 2) the end user customer who will engage Smart Energy Finance as their finance provider for the purchase of sustainable energy equipment. Both of these targets need to feel trust for Smart Energy Finance, and confidence that they can handle their financial needs in a professional and competent manner.
