Poster Design Brief

We would like to produce a poster for a competition we will launch between the universities in the UK. The competition will involve students creating a design that would feature on our new product Card Vase.

Card Vase is a unique product that, from its original flat packed form, is assembled in seconds, to form a fully watertight vase suitable to hold water and a bouquet of flowers. The range of Card Vase designs feature greeting messages (just like a standard greeting card) such as Happy Birthday, Get Well Soon, Baby Boy/Baby Girl, etc or everyday designs. Students will be able to download a blank template that they can place their designs on to and submit to Blooming Simple. We will then choose a selection of designs that would go in to production. The students name and university would be credited on the vase.

We will also select on overall winning design that will receive a cash price of £250.

Requirements

Must have

• Blooming Simple and Card Vase logo's (files attached)
  
  A4 colour poster
  
  A title/header that will immediately catch the attention of the students, something like 'be part of the next big trend'.
  
  We would like to use a graphic on the poster that would be similar to the 'cut-through poster' attached. This graphic, which shows a greeting card + vase = card vase, provides a good visual and understanding of the product. We then thought that we could include a similar style graphic, such as the flat template + 3D graphic = vase with flowers (see attached files, baby girl final + baby girl 3D = baby girl vase, plus sketch), as the flat template and 3D graphic are the formats we will require them to be submitted for the competition.

Nice to have

• Provide them with an idea of the type of designs they could submit, Happy Birthday, New Born, Thank You, Congratulations, Get Well Soon, Mother's Day, Valentines, funky generic designs, etc.
  
  Possibly wording such as 'Blooming Simple are searching the country for the UK's freshest and creative minds'
