Logo Design Brief

Develop an updated logo for us that we are able to use and create a new identity for ourselves. In 2012 we merged with Emergency Management and lost our identity. We have recently split from Emergency Management and we need to rebrand ourselves. Our pre-2012 logo is attached. We like the blue color and would like to stay in that color family. There is a lot going on in the old logo and would like something a little simpler. Please stay away from green and gold colors. We would like the logo to be round. We are responsible for providing grant funds to first responders to prevent, protect and respond to acts of terrorism. We are a part of a state department and work closely with not only local responders, but federal agencies as well.
