Logo Design Brief

I require a single colour logo to be designed that will be cut out of a large piece of metal which will make a sign that will be attached to the front of a building. The logo will be required to be in as little amount of separate pieces if possible as the sign will be cut out and mounted in one piece (For example all letters will be required to be joined in some way).

The sign will be positioned on the front of a spa retreat building. The sign will be approximately 5000mm x 1000mm but can be slightly larger to accommodate the design.

The spa retreat is located in the Swan Valley in Western Australia. I want to logo to have nature (trees and animals) mixed into the lettering. As the sign will be cut out of a single piece of metal there won't be able to be any fine details. Only outlines.

I would like to have trees and kangaroos. I would also like to have the 'S' in swan shaped like a Western Australian black swan (this is depending on whether it will fit in and look good with the rest of the design).

I have attached the front elevation of the spa retreat and put a red box where the logo will be attached. I have attached an image of the spa retreat so you can get a feel for the retreat and the landscape.

I have attached a silhouette of a landscape with kangaroos, trees and other wildlife to get an idea of what I am looking for. The tree branches will have to be simplified a little bit otherwise the sign will be too difficult to cut out in one piece. I have also attached a silhouette of a swan for reference. These are just ideas and can be left out or changed to suit your design.

The sign does not have to be very complex. A simple design with a nice feel of nature and peace and tranquility will be good.

I have attached two different laser cut signs to show what they look like. The letters can be either outlines as shown in example 1 or cut outs as shown in example 2. Either way will be fine as long as the letters are easy to read and look good with the design.

Once the logo is designed I would like to logo exported to a autocad dxf file if possible. I will require this format to pass onto the laser cutters to make the sign.

Requirements

Must have

• -Logo text
• -Trees and wildlife
• -Logo to be preferably in one single piece. A couple of pieces are alright if it will make the design look better
• -Leaves et cetera on trees too be simple and connected to the tree.
• -The writing in the logo must be on one line.

Nice to have

• If possible can you please submit two versions of the logo,
• 1. black and white
• 2. dark brown logo with medium grey background
• Refer to attached for examples of the required colours.
• The final files will be required in black and white. The coloured example is just to give me a better idea of what the logo will actually look like

Should not have

• Extreme complexity as it will be too hard to cut out into one piece.
