Logo Design Brief

We need a masthead/logo for a new bi-lingual media platform focused on Chinese business in Western Australia.
The platform will comprise a news website, which will have a clean, minimalist design akin to that of the New Yorker or the New York Times.
A monthly magazine will also be produced, therefore a traditional, strong typeface like those used by the Wall Street Journal or Australian Financial Review would be needed to establish its credibility.
The masthead/logo should be easily transferable to also be used as a masthead for daily e-newsletters.
As the magazine is targeted at high-net-worth Chinese investors, the logo/masthead should have a premium, sophisticated feel. If possible, a combination of English and Chinese characters would also be desirable, while a utilisation of the colour red would also likely resonate with the target market.
