We are starting a research project that investigates the best way of restoring degraded land in Indonesia and Brazil. Degraded land can be destructed forest area due to human activities, deteriorating soil quality that decreases agriculture production or other kinds of negative changes from the natural state of the land. Degraded land can be restored by replanting trees, protecting the water supply, isolate the areas to prevent further human destruction or many other ways.
