Illustration Design Brief

THE FULL BRIEF IS IN THE ATTACHMENTS
8 simple line (vector) drawings
- hand-drawn ink outlines
- some solid colours from palette
- colour textures may be distressed
- no hard bordering outline to image - image edges to white / transparent - ideally no (or limited) gradients
- stick to solid colours or white
We require four vector images each for the “Summer Beach” and “Mountains Camping” sets.
Each image should stand alone but fit into its set by virtue of the ink and colour technique, and the common palette.
The images should be very roughly the same height as width but not have straight line edges.
The borders of the image should be defined by the edges of elements in the image, e.g. a river might terminate at the left and right with a shape that’s suggested by running water; a bear might be fully outlined and its right edge define the outside of the image.
If there must be some overall shape suggested by an image’s elements, it should lean towards round rather than square.
Images should have a retro – vintage feel.
