Logo Design Brief

(I recently submitted a corollary design request for the same company which you may have seen. The reason I am submitting a second request is because I haven't decided on the name of the company yet.)

I am forming a software company that will build custom in-house software. Most likely the first job will be an algorithmic pricing engine for a telecommunications company, but I could see making iPhone Apps in the future or whatever.

As for logo design, I prefer an extremely simple, clean, subtle and understated aesthetic. Think like minimalist.

Preferably the logo would be separable from the text. In other words the logo "icon" or "picture" could be used nicely without the text, or it could be used with the text.

I tend to like two color designs, e.g. white plus one color. I like blues, bluegreens, browns and blacks. I dislike oranges, yellows and reds.

This system requires me to upload an image, but I don't want to influence the design ideas too much so it's a black square.
