Illustration Design Brief

Hi, we are a privately owned group of investors looking to expand our product offerings. We are looking to design a "scratch map", the original concept invented by Luckies of London. The concept is not patented in the US, but obviously the design of the map is. So our company looking to create our own. We need 3 layers per manufacturing needs: the map itself, the gold foil that will cover the map, then the printing that goes on top of the foil. in vector format. please refer to images attached for more information. for this contest we would only need the base layer to select winner, winner just need to understand that once selected, we need the other 2 layers within 7 days.

THINGS WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
1. detailed cartography (see images) - but not so detailed that it's hard to see writing
2. base layer color should be "watercolor" (see images attached)
3. include usa territories and islands
4. design will be printed on A1 poster size approximately 23.39 x 33.11 inches.
5. top should read "My Travels"
6. USA should have 50 states, can be same color does not have to be all different colors however we still require the detailed cartography
7. major provinces in China divided
8. major latitudes and longitudes drawn
9. color scheme is watercolor on white (see image). vibrant colors instead of "muted" colors.

Requirements

Must have

• detailed cartography, but not too detailed that writing is hard to see. please see project description for more details about what is needed.
• watercolor base layer very important. Major script should be elegant, but small font ones should not be. ---still readable is important.

Nice to have

• open to ideas as to what else goes on the map .we are looking to differentiate our product but not in a way that will get some customers to say "oh i don't need that, i'll buy something else". other existings maps have flags at the bottom, some have some stats about world at the bottom. this isn't necessary, however, could just be plain map.

Should not have

• 0% TOLERANCE FOR ERRORS IN WRITING/SPELLING AND IN MAP DETAILS ITSELF
