Logo Design Brief

We need a great logo for our small business called 'Squiggle and Thread'.
Our offering involves taking your artwork (mainly children's) e.g. drawings, paintings, collages, and photos (?) and then turning this art into products such as cushions and pillowcases (and potentially other things in the future such as other soft furnishings or clothes).
We like modern, clean logos and we will be applying the logo to a fabric label as well as using on our website and in print (flyers, invoices, stickers).
We are looking for something that is fun and unique and appealing to both children and parents. We don't like kitsch, 'homey' or busy looks.
We've attached a photo of some of our recent products. When our customers have first seen their cushion / pillowcase they have felt overwhelmingly proud and excited at seeing their art turned into something they can see and touch.
Our mission statement:

• modern clean design appealing to kids and parents, reflecting our mission and product.
• Text must be easy to read
• Gender neutral, appealing to both boys and girls
• simple enough to look great small - on fabric labels.

Nice to have

• some reference to painting/drawing/art

Should not have

• kitsch, busy, homey design
• We don't want initials in the logo
• Pink! or mauve or pastel colours
• needles and thread in the image - focus needs to be on art.
