Packaging Design Brief
Gastrohampers is a new premium food and beverage hamper retailer that is here to compete with Harrods at the top end of the hamper market.
The contents of the hamper will be of very high quality, and the packaging (i.e the hamper) will need to convey the same theme. Unlike most hamper retailers, we will not be using wicker baskets. Instead we will use birch plywood for the larger boxes and a combination of corrugated paper covered with faux leather or high quality card paper for the smaller hampers.
I'm working with an amazing manufacturer in London that can apply any 3-dimentional design into almost any material. I need to provide them with the design and artwork of my hampers so they can get to work.
The logo and artwork on the plywood hampers will be laser carved. The hamper with faux leather will have the designs embossed and the cheaper card version will be foil blocked.
The more expensive hampers will be the plywood ones. The basic shame of the hamper is rectangular (assume 55cm x 35cm x 35cm) however the edges do not have to be sharp angles. The manufacturer can make them rounded if needed. I have attached one of the boxes that they created in the past but purely as an example and inspiration.
A key feature of the winning design will be the artwork created to decorate the hampers. I need patterns that can complement our logo and make the hamper look exclusive, elegant and expensive.
Your submission needs to include two versions of the hamper. One in a wooden box and the other in card. The card hamper will be colorful whist the plywood hamper will only be carved (i.e no paint).
Our logo has recently been selected from a winning submission at designcrowd. Please find it attached. I hope the logo gives you an idea of the type of elegant look that I'm looking for. The logo needs to feature prominently in the design, either on top of the hamper, sides or both.

I haven't received many designs so decided to extend the deadline and increase the budget considerably. I have also added $150 for second place and $100 for third place.
The project will be changed to non-refundable as soon as 1 suitable design is received.
