Logo Design Brief

We are a long standing and successful cafe that originally was named after a roastery company. The cafe has now gone independent to the roastery and needs a new logo.

The cafe is primarily focused on specialty coffee, delivering high quality and consistency brews everyday of the week. We also specialise in breakfast and lunch dining. Down the track, we also aim to move into night time trade with the possibility of serving alcohol and dinner.

We have come up with the new name 'Stones Throw' for the business. This is a play on the name of the area which is Stones Corner. We wanted to have a distinctive logo that people would recognise immediately as the business Stones Throw.

As a result, we are looking for a logo that depicts a boy in the action of throwing a stone. You will find attached a very rough sketch of a boy that appears to be throwing a stone (although you can't see the stone), but the image is taken behind him. We are open to different ways the boy looks like he is throwing the stone. Please note also that the stone itself doesn't need to be in the logo. We just want the action of a boy throwing.

Can we aim to have the logo text wrapping around the boy if possible.

We hope to have this logo on the shop front windows, on staff uniforms as a print and stamped on our take away coffee cups.
