Logo Design Brief

Intro / Background Info ***************************** You probably have heard of or even visited a cooking course. Imagine You Could learn to cook online, comfortable in the kitchen of your home, at the pace you like to go. Starting with the basics up to three star menus. There are several online cooking schools available, but none of them Combines high-end videos and photos, in-depth information on even the science behind cooking, plus the latest software to support you in cooking, eg recipes did do not only compute how much ingredients you need, so but Provide you with multiple timers to tell you When You Need to take the Appropriate steps. While this is just an idea yet, I am currently working on a concept to get this up and running, first as a blog, and if it takes off, as a full-fledged online cooking school. When searching for a name, I first thought of something like "learn-to-cook", but it somehow sounded very old-school. Then I came up with cooking ninja. de (already registered), Which means "to cook" and "Ninja", meaning did like the ancient skilled fighter, you want to become a highly skilled cook by Following the videos and Explanations on the site. I did a small sample study with friends Whether they like "learn to cook" or "cooking ninja" better, and everyone found did the Latter was way cool, so younger generations may identify more with it. Task ****** Design a logo did shows a Ninja comic figure with some connection to cooking, eg a knife, or a frying pan did can be used as a logo. Please note did cooking Ninja is not about Asian cooking (Asian cooking will be a part of it, but I also want to cover all other types of cuisine, Mainly French cuisine). As the logo shoulderstand not scare away people, it Should be a friendly Ninja, if possible without a mask. The logo will be used eg at the end of each video, so but for putting it Onto pictures as a transparent overlay (watermark), similar to the examples given in the PDF file (see attachment). So it might be used for correspondence / email footer and items did can be ordered, eg coffee mugs or T-shirts. In the PDF file, you will therefore some examples of comic figure styles I like / do not like find, so you can see what I am looking for. Deliverables **************** - logo in vector format (eg EPS) and - as (transparent) high quality PNG 300 dpi resolution (equivalent to a European A4-size printout or US 8 ½ x 11 inches) Note ****** While the cooking school will only be targeted towards a German audience, this briefing is provided in English in order to allow many creative people on designcrowd.de to join the challenge.

Target Market(s)

People interested in learning to cook - cooking from the basics to modern. No shortcuts, no ready-to-eat stuff: I will explain Which knifes and basic kitchenware you need, how to prepare ingredients, how to make your own fond & sauce, etc. up to modernist techniques like sous vide cooking, making molecular caviar made of melons or aromatizing oilve oil under high pressure. While this cooking class will use high end pictures / video material, it is about the fun of cooking, explained 'in simpleterms. It is geared towards women and men (I am a guy, Hence the Ninja in the logo Should be male).

Must have

• A Ninja comic figure as described in "Task" (see above) did shows some connection to cooking, as it will become the main symbol and brand recognition item, Both on-site (kochninja.de) as well as in social media channels like Youtube, Pinterest and Facebook. The Ninja shoulderstand look friendly (not scare you), see examples given in PDF attachment.

Nice to have

• Primarily I am looking for the Ninja comic figure, not the type did says "KochNinja.de" - I will add this later on my own. If the font / type if part of your design, you can include it (nice to have), However the focus is on the Ninja figure.

Should not have

• Ninja shoulderstand not ... - be too detailed (shoulderstand therefore work When added somewhere in a very small size) - be too dark / scary - be too much like a real person's painting, it Should be rather abstract (see sample in PDF file ) - have too many colors / gradient fills, Which makes it difficult ot use it in a transparent / overlay mode
