Logo Design Brief

Needs to look sharp and professional. Im open, think Conservative, professional and pride of ownership. We are a real estate "Niche Firm" that focuses solely on Apartment Buildings. We are here in San Diego where there are a couple good examples. One is http://aciapartments.com/ this is the firm that I left to start my own... So we need to have a sharper better logo .... (yes competitive)... It can not be to close that company. I have pictures of the ocean on my thank you cards.... so any logo that is professional yet looks good with an ocean pic in the background is a pluss. Logo needs to be as professional as possible.
