Logo Design Brief

Hello! I need a logo for my business, to use with branding development (website, bus cards, etc.). The name of my business is Strings and Keys Music Studio. I teach 115+ students weekly, VIOLIN and/or PIANO. I teach in shared lessons, mostly, with parents of the children present, and the lessons are very dynamic, fun, full of laughter, and music learning/making of multiple styles and genres (i.e. Blues, Classical, Pop, Composition, Improvisation, etc.). Our "recitals" are called "shin-gigs!" Currently, my students are ages 3-80's. There is a feeling of mutual respect, comfort, ease, and intention in the studio. I utilize the piano methodologies Simply Music and Play-a-Story (see simplymusic.com and innermusician.com) and for violin, Mark O'Connor, Suzuki, and Kato Havas. Basically, my bent is quite nontraditional and non-stuffy! I want a design to look "clean" (i.e. not too "busy") but also reflect a kind of whimsy, without being "cute" or "childish." It should ideally show a kind of "flow" as music is, (as a river is). No need to show musical notation unless very subtly.

Requirements

Nice to have

• The logo should be clean looking but not stuffy or traditional in the classical music sense. It should elicit music, rather than be obviously about a music studio. I like the colors I listed below (if you look at some of the pictures, you'll see a blue wall in my studio) but you do not need to be limited by them!

Should not have

• Cartoonish look or feel.
