Book cover for a YA novel about an intelligent non-mainstream girl
Add your question or comments below
Hi there, this project sounds really interesting. Just have a few questions before I start:
- In the title 'Ask Me', who is the 'me' referring to, the girl, or yourself?
- Is the book intended for 10-14 year old girls (written in a fun, educational way), or is it more for parents and relatives of 10-14 year old girls (more serious / adult content)? Just want to make sure I get the target audience right with the type of illustration, layout, etc.
- Would you consider having a sub-title for this? I think that just the illustration and the title might not be enough to make it clear to the reader what the book is about? So maybe something like 'An insightful guide into the first years of teenage girls' or along those lines; I guess it depends on your answer to the previous question.
Please let me know about the above, so I know how to correctly tackle this project.
Kind regards,
Bernardo Bobone
Good questions, I guess I'll have to update my text a little.
- AskMe is actually a social media website where teenagers write questions to each other. It's anonymous and some off the questions are very mean, like: why don't you wash your hair more often, you're disgusting. I've been wondering why young people expose them selves to hardcore critics from anonymous haters like that but it seems as if they use it to get affirmation, when some of there friends come to the rescue and defend them on the same site. And as one young girl told me: anyway it's better to be mugged than to not be seen at all
- the book is a novel for Young Adults, a somehow dark story but with humour. But not a comedy
- so...no subtitle :-)
Thank you for your questions
Did you want to add a photo for the back cover in addition to a bio?
No thank you :-)
Sorry, I've might send my answer somewhere else :-/

I don't know exactly how much you all can see of my messages to each of you or if you can see each other's contributions and my comments, but as a result of the questions asked I've added some extra information to the brief :-)
Hi, please write Book title and subtitle, and Author NAME
Hello :-)
It's written under MUST HAVES:
"Title: #AskMe
Authors name: S. Jørgensen
Title must be bigger and more catching than authors name"
Hello Sir!
are you open for a photo realistic image instead of an illustration?
may be a stock photo or something?
Many Thanks!!
Mats
