Packaging Design Brief
Design the layout and graphics for a package of baby swaddle blankets. Blankets will be rolled up and bundled in packages of four, and customers need to be able to visually understand the multiple uses that the blankets can be used, as well as easily read the description on the packaging.
Illustrations are needed for the following (examples for inspiration and clarification provided):
1. "swaddle": a baby in a swaddle
2. "tummy time": a baby on tummy on top of a blanket
3. "stroller cover": a stroller with a blanket covering the open part to protect it from sun/rain, etc
4. "nursing cover": a mother using a blanket to cover a baby on the front of her
5. "burp cloth": a mother using the blanket as a "burp" cloth
6. "changing table cover": a baby laying on top of a blanket, which is on top of a changing mat
7. "step 1": baby sitting on a triangle folded blanket
8. "step 2": baby laying on triangle fold with left side folded over baby and tucked in
9. "step 3": baby still laying on blanket and now with the bottom triangle folded up on baby's feet
10. "step 4": right side of blanket folded over baby to complete the swaddle
Examples are provided for inspiration and clarification of what is needed. However, the icons should be distinct from the examples provided.
Illustrations should be designed in an "icon" format, meaning not a lot of detail, so that they can be easily understood and recognizable by anyone. A small child should be able to easily understand what the picture is, or anyone who does not speak English, a the icons will accompany English text.
Once a designer is chosen, the icons will need to be laid out onto packaging format with accompanying text. All text and packaging dimensions will be provided for the layout once the design is chosen.
