Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for a general contracting company that specializes in historic home renovation. We are based in Newport, KY and most of our work is in a nationally designated historic district.

We would like to incorporate some element of architecture in the logo. One of our specialties is restoring original trim and woodwork. The primary architectural styles here are Italianate and Victorian built in the late 1800's to early 1900's.

I prefer a simple, clean design in soft tones or black and white but am open to interpretation. I would also like it to be formatted so that I can use it across multiple platforms; web, business cards, letterhead, etc.

I'm attaching a few things I've found or worked up that might help.

Nice to have

• I would like to see an image that incorporates a view of the front of a house, preferably in a more 'square' style reflective of the Italianate homes we work in.

Should not have

• I dislike the generic 'roof line' logo. By that I mean a triangle shaped roof.
