Logo Design Brief

I am setting up a company that does brokerage, distributes, sources and imports fruits and vegetables from Mexico into Europe.

I need a logo that has the company's name on it and an image, but I don't want a fruit or vegetable image on the logo as I think it has been overused and it looks boring.

I have seen a logo for a company called "Jim's Mowing" that I like (www.jims.net). I like the format they use for all of Jim's companies,it looks friendly, hands on, and goes straight to the point, so I would like to have a similar logo to this one. A friend of mine made a cartoon version of a personal photo a few years back when I was working in a ranch and I think this image could work.(image also attached)

In terms of logo colours, I'm not fussed but I would like a tone that looks good on paper, serious and perhaps conveys the idea of produce freshness, and will also be easy to put into a shirt as I'm planing to have some made with the logo on them. The logo colour and image can be all in one tone, but I'm happy to see if there are any other ideas.

You can also surprise me with other ideas different ot the JIM's logo.
