Just thought pointing out that the brief was asking for a TYPOGRAPHICAL/WORDMARK logo but I see now that the winning logo is a combination logo. I feel I have been misled by the brief and spent my whole time working to get a typographical logo.

The brief was changed more than 10 times. Stating they wanted something like the winning design. That was the original brief, and it changed through a few different logo ideas they wanted. Just after they changed the request for wordmark they advised time limit being changed. "DH" claiming the winning design is similar to his submission appart from the font used. Then another used abbreviation "fsf" (free software foundation) I asume. Now keep in mind the only people that can view submissions is the creator of the contest. What stops them from showing these designs to an inhouse designer and have that said designer to enter the contest to copy off the submissions. I might be wrong, but anything is possible. Every designer takes that risk entering a contest like this without a paid invite.

And the winner is a "nice wordmark" ...... Great,
Just take my time for nothing to follow the brief to make wordmark that's also "Great".

No, I was wondering what relevance the logo had with the company. The logo suggests the letters 'FSF'. Some other designer claimed it copied his.

Hi. I saw your design and compared it to the winning design. They look suspiciously similar. In fact, as far as shape and even the angle of the lower 'key', they are exactly the same as far as the basic motif is concerned. I suggest you take the issue up with DesignCrowd. If this is your original concept, and you submitted first, something is amiss.
