Logo Design Brief

I am a business adviser and have set up a new sole trader company giving business advise to small to medium businesses (a business mentor). I work in the greater Wellington area in New Zealand in the SME market (10 - 50 employees).
I need a logo to use on business cards, email address, Powerpoint slides, documents, etc.
Competitors in NZ include www.advantagebusiness.co.nz and www.peoplenz.co.nz
I guess being a business advisor is about trust and adding value.
