Illustration Design Brief

I'm planning on getting two tattoos. I have a good idea of what I want but just don't draw very well. One is simple and shouldn't be very hard. The other is more involved.

1) It's a dog howling wearing a bandana. Australian Cattledog is the breed I'm thinking of. Just a black silhouette with a white bandana.

2) The inspiration for the second one is Atlas holding up the earth. Instead of the standard Atlas, I'd like it to sort of look like Mowgli from the junglebook illustrations. Wiry kid/teenager with unkept hair. My idea for the globe is one inspired by video game world maps. Like a planet with some relief geography a mountain range, some trees, a river. The most important thing to me is the face. I want the focus of the illustration to be the face. I want the face to show the following. A kid has been given a task he believes he is very serious. He is determined and hypervigilant but also struggling to bear the weight of the earth. I'd like the face to show that the kid views carrying the earth as vital but also demonstrate that he has been carrying too heavy a burden for too long.
