Logo Design Brief
We have created a project where six world class luthiers (craftsman who build stringed instruments from wood) are each building a tenor ukulele out of identical wood to showcase their different approaches to tone and aesthetics. The instruments will then be sold with 100% of all proceeds going to a children's charity that is focused on hospital-based musical therapy programs.
The logo will be use on the project web site as well as inlayed on the instruments to make them a collectible set.
Target Market(s)
Music enthusiasts and people interested in the benefitting charity. These are high dollar instruments ($4K plus each) and so we don't want anything too cute or low brow.

Must have
- Because logo may be inlayed on instruments, it's probably best to develop something that can be viewed from 5 feet away and be discernible.
Nice to have
- A few different ideas come to mind for the logo:
- 1) Something incorporating a musical clef symbol morphing into a tree
- 2) some sort of tool(s) iconic to wood craftsmanship (perhaps a plane or chisel) with perhaps a remembrance ribbon
- 3) something completely different; anxious to see ideas!
Should not have
- Do not want just stylized text. Logo must have some image/design.
