Logo Design Brief
Colours:
Blue (likely dark) and green or other earth centric colours are preferred, but other combination may strike a cord.
Letters:
We're pretty sure we want GoliETHIC to look basically how we spell it out. Definitely the G and the ETHIC to be in capitals and the oli to be in lower case. We've played around with the G and the E being in one font and colour whilst the other letters are smaller in comparison and in another font and colour - we seem to prefer this, but we can also see ETHIC being all the same size and perhaps colour too.
Logo/Symbol:
We are set on having a globe and/or using the G (probably the most important), E (second most important), C, or other letters be used in the symbol. If you did use any of the characters from the lettering, the font must be the same or a morph of the exact same. It can't look so different that it is obviously a different font. It's also okay to have a completely abstract logo/symbol too, as long as it is in keeping with the lettering. We'd like to see the logo/symbol used on it's own and mean exactly the same thing to people. Like Nike is to the swoosh and vice versa. We want to use it on merchandise and use it for icons, flavicons, etc.
In this extension, please place more emphasis on the logo/symbol rather than the lettering.
When you are creating a logo for GoliETHIC, please keep all of what has been said above in mind. Additionally, if you are still reading and "feeling it", then it is likely you want to participate - great! There is however one condition you need to agree to - yes, there is a catch. While there is no formal way to enforce this, please agree to donate 10% of earned money to the charity of your choice - it's a little thing, but it's fundamental that you accept in order to be fully on board with what we are doing and what you are doing for us.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: Sorry Designers,
We can't pick a design yet. We've seen some good candidates but we are still not 100% unfortunately. We need the weekend to digest what we have and consider anything new that we might get. It's more about the logo/symbol now for us then it is about the text as we had a pretty good handle on that from the beginning. We'd like to see any ideas around a globe, in a G, E, C or combination of characters. The globe can be abstract or realistic and can be accompanied by anything. If you used a type of font for the actual text, then we don't want to see different fonts used in the design of the logo/symbol - we can't get past that they simply don't look like they belong together.
We'd like to see the logo/symbol used for a crest on clothing, hats, as an icon, flavicon, etc. While colour is obviously important, it's more about the design. We'd like to see colour too, but we need to know it'll look good and be meaningful on black and white, white and black, and a host of other colour combinations.
We're sorry for the delay, but we are going to put up a few awards for participation to compensate and encourage more submissions.

When we moved the project deadline out, we had said we were going to do participation payments. We had misunderstood what that was and so we elected to post a second price of $100 instead. We hope it encourages some more designs and refinements to existing designs.

- A world globe - we've been playing around with many variations on a globe themed logo. It's just something we've been thinking the whole time, but open to any other suggestions - that's why we are here!
Additionally, it is highly desired that there be an Abstract (symbolic) logo and a Wordmark (name based) logo. They should easily exist together or independent of each other and still be identified to mean the same thing. Additionally, a number of samples have been drawn up that use the G and the E of GoliETHIC - this has been productive when used in conjunction with the globe theme, but we are open to other possibilities too.
