I live in Durham, North Carolina now...I'm preparing to move to Austin Texas in about three weeks....North Carolina is in one of the 3 primary hi-tech regions in the country...The other two are Silicon Valley in California (Palo Alto) and the Seattle-Portland region in the Northwest (*Microsoft and Google started in Seattle Washington). Very much most of the 'Who's Who' in tech development came from these 3 particular regions (SeattIe-Portland being the most innovative, a VERY 'Liberal-Minded' population, young, hip, progressive)...HUGE Music Scene! ("Grunge" in the 90's was started in Seattle, Ex: Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Hole, etc all started there) ~ Check Out/WebSearch: Bumbershoot/NXNW, Sub-Pop Records, EMP (Enjoy Music Project), Jimi Hendrix, Starbucks, Tons of HiTech, Architecture, and Design firms, largest poster art producing cities in the U.S. along with Seattle and San Francisco.

The state of North Carolina its also called 'The Triangle Area' because the cities of Raleigh, Charlotte, and Durham are 'inter-connected' business-to-business wise and are defined by short distances in between the cities (40 to 45 minutes) and hold some of the most well known medical, tech, and pharmacy industries in the United States in what's nicknamed the 'tech corridor region', that stretches from the states of Washington DC (the Capitol), Baltimore (Maryland), Virginia, West Virgina down to South Carolina. About 20 to 30 of notable video gaming companies are located in this state and a large amount of movie production firms are located here...*A LOT of films are in production here because of the large amount of historical sites and vast amount of open spaces, its CHEAPER...ex: episodes of The Walking Dead Series are shot here, Sleepy Hollow series, the X-Files, Lost, big motion picture shooting location, etc

Austin, Texas (State Capitol city) is about 45 minutes from San Antonio, and is known as the 'Live Music Capitol of the US' (*The most well-known event that draws bands from all of the world is SXSW (South By Southwest ~ *The founder also owns and runs NXNW in Seattle that I mentioned) also a HEAVY film production/shooting location base, 40 or so of the biggest video-gaming companies in the US, VERY TALENT HEAVY! Because of the down-turn in the economy, there's a lot of population migration going on throughout the country....A lot of California people are moving to Texas and adding to that already established base, New Yorkers are moving to the southern regions particularly, Atlanta, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Miami, Florida, etc. As you may know, Miami, has the most largest and diverse 'Latin' and/or 'Spanish-speaking' populations, Cubans, Hondurans, Puerto-Ricans, etc, Texas, Arizona, Nevada, California, (SouthWest) are large 'Spanish-Speaking' or what we call 'Hispanic' (Mexican/Chicano) populations...Hope that kinda gives you a general over-view of things. The U.S. is in 'flux' right now, just like every part of the planet it seems...Things are DEFINITELY changing! ~ M+Vx

*Oh Yeah ~ I forgot to mention the most obvious place if you're into the MAIN FILM MAKING HEADQUARTERS and place to be is Los Angeles (Hollywood) ~ NYC is FASHION, MUSIC, MEDIA / PUBLISHING, ART and DESIGN. ~ PEACE ~ M+Vx
