Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a company that allows drivers to talk to their cars through a smartphone app/website that collects data from a device you can plug into your car.

We would like to see designs that encompass our goal of making drivers have peace of mind and security about their car. Since it's an internet based company it should be modern, friendly, and self-explanatory. The name of the company is Overdrive.

Winner may have opportunity to be involved in design aspects of the website. Here is our company brief:

Overdrive is a car diagnostics system that keeps track of your car's location and sends instant alerts and emails about maintenance issues, excessive speeding, accidents or vehicle theft. Users can access on-demand information through a website or smartphone app.

Features that owners will find immediately useful is that owners can get a warning when the car exceeds certain speeds or the car experiences harsh braking or cornering. Likewise, car owners can indicate geographical boundaries for the car, and get notified if someone drives the car outside that boundary. Particularly cautious parents can also initiate 15-minute windows of real-time tracking of the car, and view its progress on a map. This feature can also be used for stolen vehicle recovery.
