Logo Design Brief
We are a branding house and we strive to bring people's creative ideas alive from conception to implementation into the marketplace. For example someone may have an idea of developing a watch or a running shoe. We take their ideas and their designs and turn them into prototypes and then into production-intent items to be sold in the marketplace.
The words "imagine maison" is a play on words from "imagination" which translates to "house of imagination", where thinking and dreaming big are the core of our beliefs and values.
Our philosophy is anything is possible and if you believe it then you can achieve it! Be bold!
In essence we want the logo to spark the imagination and creative senses. We would like people to see the logo and feel like that they can trust our knowledge and services to bring their ideas alive in products that they have conceived

Greetings to all the Designers,First off I would like to thank you for entering the design contest. With much gratitude, I really do appreciate everyone's contribution and your submission. I certainly have learnt a lot from your contributions and I thought it best to update everyone. I have updated the design brief and added a few more image examples and perhaps I can further explain what I am thinking in terms of the logo. Our company focuses on bringing people's ideas to reality in terms of a product that they have conceived in their mind and would like to bring to the market. Some may call it a bright idea but it becomes very personal to them, since only they can visualize it and dream of it before it becomes a reality.So our logo needs to be symbolic, have a distinguished feature or image which represents this process. Allow me to use some major brands as an example to illustrate my point. Starbucks' siren is a symbol of the maritime industry of Seattle where the company was founded. DreamWorks uses a boy fishing for a dream on a moon. The way we judged the submissions was to remove the artwork from the business name and see if it connected with what we are all about (i.e. our vision). If it did not make a connection then it probably would not be considered.Here is some feedback from the designs received so far.1) What we are NOT looking for are the typical images and icons that are used for ideas and dreams such as clouds, light bulbs, bubbles, suns, gears, flames, planets, stars, lightning, pixie dust, guys hanging from balloons, wings, lightning, houses etc. 2) ImagineMaison really means the "house of imagination" where ideas are crafted, but some submissions used houses which looked made it look like a real estate business. I would stay away from using these unless it's very creative implied. 3) Some people used the initials "IM" in very creative ways but to me it adds no character and lacks personality unless it tells a story with a symbol. I uploaded an example of a logo called "water droplet" that is clean and tells the story because of how they creatively added the drop. This inspires me!!4) Let's make the artwork simple and symmetrical and professional. Please do not send variations of the DreamWorks logo with the moon (copyright is an issue).5) Also just send me one variation of your design. There is no need to send the same logo design on different backgrounds.6) Please stay away from script fonts as well.I hope this helped to clarify my thoughts.Regards,Duane Added Friday, December 9, 2016

- Be creative and use negative space images as well to be symbolic and tell a story.
Should not have
- 1) should not be too busy looking
- 2) avoid using houses (it looks like a real estate agent logo, we are a branding company)

- 7) please do not copy and rebrand the DreamWorks logo
