Logo Design Brief

We have two dental practices in the same town (Stevenage in Hertfordshire). They are about 3 miles apart. We offer a wide range of services including NHS dentistry (Government aided dentistry), cosmetic dentistry, referral centre for minor oral surgery, and implants.

One practice is located in Symonds Green and the other in Exeter Close. The practices are very well established, and have been known as Symonds Green Dental Practice and Exeter Close Dental Practice for a long time. We are modernizing the practices and hence the name change.

I have attached the logo’s I had made a while ago. I think they are ok, but not fantastic. I find it very hard to explain why! But here goes:
• the co.uk can be dropped from the logo
• the tree is too big
• should the words “the” and “tree” be in a bolder typeface so that they translate better to things like a sign? I suggest that the words "dental" and "tree" should be the same size
• Too many different colours, especially in the tree. I would like to limit it to two colours (so the same colour “The Dental Tree” and maybe different colour for “Exeter Close” and “Symonds Green”)
