Logo Design Brief

After 65 years of efforts to protect and restore New England’s biggest river, the Connecticut River Conservancy decided the time is right to update its brand. The goal is to make the brand more modern and appealing to a wide audience.

The Connecticut River Conservancy (CRC) was founded in 1952 (as the Connecticut River Watershed Council) to advocate for solutions to pollution and other problems along the river.

CRC is a membership organization, and many of its members have an emotional connection to the river through outdoor recreation: paddling, fishing, camping, hiking, and other activities.

The CRC protects the river in many ways. Here are some examples: they monitor the river for pollution, coordinate habitat restoration projects, organize volunteer cleanup events, and conduct education programs. They do all of this to make the great river valley a better place for the 2 million people, and 5,000 watershed species that call it home.

• Logo must work in black and white, and black and white versions will need to be provided with the final logo files

Nice to have
