Logo Design Brief

Hi designers. Ubidots is a cloud technology startup that allows companies to make sense of their sensor data. If you want to design the logo for a company on the cutting edge of the ‘Internet of Things’, keep on reading.

Ubidots is looking for a clean, modern logo that illustrates that our services are both technologically advanced and easy to use. Our current logo (see attached image below, or go to Ubidots.com) is too busy and complicated.

We are open to either having separate logo and typography, like we do now, or combining it all into the word ‘Ubidots’. The typography we have now is not bad, but could be improved. We don’t want the type to look too corporate.

We are open to staying with a cloud logo, but are actively seeking other creative ways to represent the Ubidots brand. If you think your cloud logo is awesome, feel free to submit it, but we are looking for alternatives as well.

Also, if you submit separate logo and typography, please place the logo to the left of the type.

Ubidots empowers companies and individuals to understand and make sense of the data that’s being generated by thousands of sensors all around them. The amount of data is doubling each year and the tools to understand it shouldn’t be limited to nerdy scientists or data experts. We allow anyone to easily create applications that turn sensor data into actionable insights.

For example, a hospital can use Ubidots to create a real-time dashboard to monitor all of their patients’ temperatures, and can even get SMS alerts when a patient’s temperature runs too high or too low.
