Thanks for the feedback!  We are looking into guaranteeing the project.  In the meantime, you might put together some initial concepts for just 2-3 icons to minimize your time investment.

Are the icons going to be on the light gray/white background? Are there any specific images you are looking wanting the icons to be?

If you scroll to the middle of the 613 commandment site''s home page there are 6 boxes that have a picture: a black background with two stone tablets (the Ten Commandments).  The icons in this project will take the place of those pictures. 

The icons will also be placed on each of the commandment pages on the main part of the page on the light gray/white background. Rather than constrain the designers with my ideas on specific images, I was looking  forward to the creativity of the designers... but since you asked... :)

These are my initial thoughts and the design submissions DO NOT have to use these images:

1. Appointed Times- clock, calendar, or calendar with a crescent moon

2. Business- dollar sign, money bag, shaking hands

3. Courts, Crimes, and Punishments- scales of justice, a gavel

4. Food- fork and knife on a round plate (a la www.pegasusbus.com/wp-content/uploads/food-icon.png), or a loaf of bread

5. Forbidden Mixtures- threads crossed in a loose "X" shape with a circle-slash ban over it

6. Forbidden Sexual Relationships- a double Mars symbol (the circle with the arrow pointing up and right) or a double Venus symbol with a circle-slash ban over it



7. G-d - I''m at a loss on this one.  The letters "G-d"?

8. Idolatry- Something like the idol from the beginning of the Raiders of the Lost Ark (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Idol) or something more generic (http://www.worldwidestore.com/33233c.htm)

9. Levites & Priests- something like the torso and head of the left-most priest here: http://www.templeinstitute.org/beged/images/wardrobe-drawing.jpg

10. Loans- a hand with money, or hands exchanging money (perhaps like this: http://www.iconshock.com/img_jpg/REALVISTA/accounting/jpg/128/loan_icon.jpg)

11. Love- a heart

12. Marriage and Family- Husband, wife, and child (perhaps something like this- http://thumbs.dreamstime.com/z/family-icon-10357788.jpg)

13. Morality- a square, left half black/dark with a white X, right half white with a black checkmark

14. Nazirites- a cluster of grapes with a stem

16. Personal Appearance- a mirror

18. Prophecy- a man with a staff in his right hand and tablet(s) (or a scroll) in the left

19. Providing for the Poor- hands from the upper-left reaching down to hands on the lower-right

21. Ritual Purity and Impurity- a box (inside the icon space) fading from light to dark (top to bottom)... maybe with the word "purity" at the top?

22. Sacrifices and Offerings- an altar with flames coming out the top or maybe a bound lamb

23. Shemittah and Yovel (the 7th year cessation from farming and the 50th year

release of debts)- a head of wheat in the center with a "7" in the upper left and "50" in the lower right

24. Signs and Symbols- sun, crescent moon, stars, star of david

25. Slaves and Servants- a butler or waiter (something like this: https://cdn4.iconfinder.com/data/icons/kitchen-cooking-dining/256/waiter-512.png)

26. Temple and Sacred Objects- a seven branched menorah http://www.esacademic.com/pictures/eswiki/77/Menorah.svg

29. Torah- a Torah scroll

30. War and Battles- sword and shield
