Flyers usually work best as Portrait, on the contrary, invitations as Landscape!
Why?

Flyers are more informative, both visually as in information, so the more less width, more rapidly the info is catchy as well as the Design becomes more appealing sometimes, this is ny Designer opinion, In this case I prefer the Portrait.
