T-shirt Design Brief

We are a brick and mortar screen printing and embroidery shop with an online design website, who are looking for more designers for repeat work. We would like to increase our outside designers in order to free up our in-house artists to work on our shops personal designs. This is our first time to post on Design Crowd and we are excited to see the process work!
Job Background: This is a t-shirt design for K-5th graders at an elementary school, around 500 children total. All of the teachers purchase group shirts for their classes. We offer multiple colors of shirts as choices and multiple colors of ink. The design needs to be a one color design with an outline that will work on dark or light shirts ( Keep in mind that shadows/shading looks very different when reversed from dark to light ink.)
The design should be elementary school child friendly, a cartoon, and should include an astronaut, which is the school mascot, outerspace, the wording Harrison Schmitt Elementary, and the year 2013-2014.
Realistic art is not what they are looking for, child like designs are best. The design should be fun and playful.
