Logo Design Brief

I am an American female (in my late 20's) living in Paris. I am writing a travel blog about Paris and my travels throughout Europe. I am looking for a logo to be used as a banner for the blog page that can also be adjusted/scaled down to fit on a business card.

I have not launched my travel blog yet, so I cannot give a link to view the site. I am using SquareSpace as a platform, so the look and feel of the blog will be clean, with white space (not too cluttered).

The travel blog will feature articles on tips and advice for people interested in traveling to Paris, such as what sights to see, restaurants to eat at, activities to do, and the like. It will also have similar information on places I have visited throughout Europe. I want my feel of my blog to be personable and friendly, like a good trusted friend giving travel advice to my readers.

Target Market(s)

Primary target is Americans researching travel in Europe.
Secondary target is expats in Paris.

Targeted towards those under 45 years old.

Must have

• I am looking for a logo that has the name of my blog incorporated in it: Simply Sara Travel.

Nice to have

• Along with the name "Simply Sara Travel," I would like the logo to have some type of picture to go along with it.
  
  I would like my logo to come across as personable, friendly, and feminine. Since I am a woman in my late 20's, I would like the logo to feminine but chic. I want it to convey the sense to my readers that I am like a trusted friend giving advice on travel to Europe. Since this is the first thing my readers will see when they go to my blog, it is important to me that it conveys both the sense that this is a European travel blog and connect my readers to who I am.
  
  I'm thinking of a logo in pastel colors, using three or fewer colors in the design.
  
  For the font of the blog name "Simply Sara Travel," I would like it to be clean, sans/serif. I like feminine handwriting-style fonts, but nothing too hard to read (e.g: not cursive).

Should not have

• I would like to avoid Europe/Paris cliches (e.g Eiffel Tower or other European landmarks).
  
  I want a graphic that conveys my blog is a travel blog, so I do not want a logo just with geometric designs or the like - I am looking for an image.
  
  My blog focuses on European travel, so the logo should not have tropical themed images (ie palm trees, etc).
