Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for a start-up internet-based law firm. We offer fixed-prices, no hourly fees, you can order and pay for your legal services online, and use the website to give the firm the information and documentation it needs to do the work. We will then meet with you, face-to-face, usually in your home at a time convenient to you to complete the transaction. If the product can be provided to you safely online, we will do that, too.

We are beginning with estate planning and legal research, but hope to expand into a broader area of law.

What makes this firm different:
- no hourly fees. you decide whether you like the price in advance, and that's what you pay.
- plain-language drafting. we have a no legalese policy.
- convenience. You can order and pay and send us information online.
- expense. because we don't have a downtown office lease, we don't need our customers to pay for it.

The firm is named "Round Table Law". We chose the name for the connotations of collaboration, communication, comfort, and for the connotations associated with the knights of the round table - wise counsel, stalwart defenders. The firm is also operated out of Sherwood Park, which due to its name has a Robin Hood theme. The Arthurian legend comes from the same time.

The design should include a black and white version or should look good printed in black and white for correspondence.

Prefer if it features a single major colour, in either a red or blue.

I prefer modern-looking fonts.

The logo should be simple, and should evoke the name even when not accompanied by it after they have been seen together. It should give the impression that the people behind the firm are trustworthy, professional, competent, and accessible.

As a nice-to-have, I like where a portion of the logo can be shown, giving the impression that a portion is obscured, but the logo still works.
