Graphic Design Brief

See updated images attached (need to be considered in plan/birds eye view)!! VERY ROUGH IDEA image is exactly that!! Feel free to elaborate/rotate/create field layout as you see fit. Each panel can join the next if required to create a continuous scene if required.

Task: - Creation of Artwork/Graphics/Illustrative backgrounds for 3 x birdseye view agricultural scenes, with an educational hint. Each panel having 1 or more pieces of Bruder 1/16th Scale agricultural toy/models fixed over each panel.

Size: - Each panel to be 1.2m tall and 2.8m wide. Each of the final designs to be printed onto a Foamex or an aluminum dibond panel. The panels are to be installed on a 45 degree vaulted ceiling in a barn conversion retail unit selling local food products. Height of ceiling circa 4m at ridge.

Style - Each panel is to be of a similar style. Visitors being able to look up at the ceiling and get the feeling that they are looking down on a "typically English" agricultural setting (hedgerows, country roads/tracks, trees, cottages/farm buildings, etc...). Other 1/16th Bruder toys can be included as "3d embellishments" over the top of each panel if required (such as bales of hay/straw/silage, cattle, farm machinery/implements). Artwork to cover entire area (even where toys are to be fixed over). Whilst it is appreciated that the ceiling is white at present, light colours where possible will help keep the environment light and spacious.

Panel One: - Wheat field (with other cropped fields surrounding the main feature field). Wheat field to have a Bruder John Deere combine harvester unloading to a tractor and trailer travelling along side fixed over the top of (supplied by us). Wheat style text "WHEAT" in front of the harvester to highlight the crop being harvested. The straw coming out of the back of the harvester to emphasize the resulting products " FLOUR" & " BREAD". Text to be large but not exceeding the combine harvester cutting bed width.

Panel Two: - Grass field with a Bruder Silage cutter unloading into a tractor and trailer. Key word in front of silage cutter in "grass" style text to say "GRASS". Resulting products behind the cutter to be "SILAGE" which can include Wrapped Bales from Bruder. Bruder toy cows could also be included before the final consumption products such as "MILK" & CHEESE" can be included (in a Milk & Cheese style???).

The word "POTATO PLANTS" spelt out in front of the toy potato lifter. The words "POTATOES", "CHIPS" & "CRISPS" spelt out in (Potatoes, Chip Style & Crisp Style text after).

Target Market(s)

Target Market: - Style needs to grab the attention of children visiting the shop, but at the same time keep in mind that this is an upmarket produce shop for grownups. Smart/clean artwork with a soft edge that can capture children's imagination, hinting at an educational angle, whilst parents peruse the shop.
