Logo Design Brief

I am looking to have a logo designed for a new construction company. The company is called Big Paws Construction (named after my dog who has huge paws). The construction company focuses on primarily residential new construction as well as remodels. I am looking for a unique, "local feel" for the logo that is simple and can easily be put on signage to go in front of the projects under construction. We build modern homes in the Austin, Texas where new home sales are booming and I need to stand out among the competition.
