I like some of the designs coming through, and I will comment on each individually. A few issues will need to be taken into consideration, but not essential. I will be discussing designs with the owner today for additional feedback. 1. Use the Exemplar colour scheme 2. Try playing with your current versions and showing how the word Innovation could be incorporated. 3. A catchy innovation slogan could solve the issue, something around "innovative solutions". There is only one design to-date which incorporates the word innovation in the design. At the same time, it might be advisable to keep the slogan separate from the actual design, to avoid clutter. We will award some money (to be decided) on the slogan - even if the design is not successful as we could incorporate the two together. 4. I can find out what the Exemplar fonts are, but it is not standard and he is quite attached to the squiggle in the current logo. 5. Above all - I specifically have not insisted on the above 4 items, because I want to encourage originality and let him think about an innovative design. Some great designs are coming through.

I am writing this to clarify what is needed - because of the questions I am getting. If anyone needs a copy of the exemplar logo on it's own let me know. I have it in an email file, but I don't know how to separate it from the main logo.

Exemplar is not the emphasis in the logo... needs to be small
Innovation is the main emphasis... needs to be bigger

You need to have a look at the business cards. It shows what the owner likes.
He has 3 companies - all owned by Exemplar
1. Exemplar Job Ready
2. Exemplar Innovation
3. Exemplar Performance Advantage
4. Go to the ExemplarJobReady website... Have a look at the way the logo is shown for Exemplar Job Ready.
5. The word... Exemplar is small
6. The words... Job Ready is bigger
7. All of them have the original Exemplar logo (should be small), which is required for all 3 companies. But this is not the company name, it is the Parent company... so it is smaller than the Company Name... Job Ready (should be bigger)
8. Have a look at the 2 x websites so you can see what I mean (referenced in the brief)
9. Similarly... Innovation needs to be big in the new logo + we need a smaller version of the exemplar logo within the design. Have a look at the Exemplar Job Ready website to see what I mean.

Do not use Job Ready in the new logo design
The new company will be Exemplar Innovation
Innovation logo should be larger font than Exemplar logo (2 separate logos incorporated together)
Exclude the word Exemplar from the initial design
Do not make Exemplar the main focus
Add the original Exemplar Logo last (uploaded files to this brief)
Does not have to be the same colour scheme - but the Exemplar logo must have the original colour scheme
Search the internet for nano technology - this may give you some ideas on the type of picture you may want to use.
