Logo Design Brief
I need a logo for my Floatation Center that will be opening in San Jose, CA, named Insight Float. What's a floatation center? It is exactly what you think it is; floating! Also known as Restricted Environmental Stimulation Therapy (REST). Floating takes place in a chamber or room that allows you to limit the distractions that you find everywhere in your daily life. This is a reprieve from your e-mail, cell phone, television, and other distracting sights and sounds. It provides the ideal environment for your mind to process all the information that we are exposed to daily as well as giving your body a chance to fully relax. We offer the opportunity to unplug, rejuvenate and renew yourself through floating in our state of the art floatation chambers.
An image that I've considered working into the logo is an eye with a spiral in the iris; the idea I'd like to convey is looking within. The logo I (poorly) designed myself years ago were three gentle blue waves under the text. Given that it's a floatation center the concept of floating in/on water would be nice to work in, but I don't want it to be too busy, as we're trying to promote serenity.

Must have
- Legible text for the name. This will be going on a brick and mortar building as well as website, business cards, apparel, and the name is the primary thing.
Nice to have
- I really like the idea of the spiral in the eye... kinda like the Nvidia logo, but different. As I mentioned above conveying the idea of water would be nice too.
Should not have
- Nothing comes to mind... well, I mean a lot of things come to mind, but I'm not sure what would be helpful to list
