Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new company based in Palo Alto, CA named 'COMMUNITEE' - an apparel printing and embroidery company. Everyone is a member of one community or another (work, school, play). Communitee gives people a chance to identify with, market, advertise and share their community with others (through apparel). A portion of all proceeds benefit humanitarian efforts around the world. The final design should be high graphic (think Apple, Nike, Adobe, etc.) and somehow tie-in and communicate a sense of community with what we do (screen-print & embroider apparel). It also needs to be a logo that we can screen print or embroider (on shirts, sweatshirts, hats, tank-tops, etc.). As an idea, we are open to a logo concept that looks like a shirt-tag or label (that could also be used as a label for the inside of a garment).

Target Market(s)

Whether purchased at department store or thrift store, given away, borrowed and never returned, or found, everyone in the world owns a t-shirt, right? Our target is any company, organization (for profit or non-profit), event, group or individual interested in advertising/marketing/making a statement (business, event, idea, etc.) through apparel/clothing.

Requirements

Must have

• 1) The company name (COMMUNITEE).
• 2) However, we would like to be able to use the logo with and without the company name (i.e., just like Nike's swoosh logo is sometimes used by itself, or with the brand 'NIKE AIR').
• 3) Need to be able to print the logo in one-color; need flexibility to be able to change the color of the logo
