Logo Design Brief

I'd like to have a logo designed for my motocross photography business.

I specialize in motocross action photography. Currently, I am only doing motocross photography but am also interested in expanding into an online motocross magazine.

I have been doing action photography for 20 years and regularly attend races. Racer X, Motocross Action, Dirt Rider are current motocross magazines.

Motocross is the best sport in the world because it is gritty, action packed, and exciting to watch. The sounds are loud and bold. I currently do motocross photography for newspapers, private clients, and for commercial clients but need to look more professional to attract a wider audience within the Industry.

Foxhead is one of the most iconic brands in the industry. I also attached a few other logos for reference. Not saying I want the logo to look like any of these but gives an idea of what others are doing in the industry.

Target Market(s)

Motocross riders, racers, enthusiasts. Motosports enthusiasts. Mostly men ages 16 - 45.

Requirements

Must have

• Incorporate a black and white checkered flag (NOT the flag pole, NO clipart). This can be in overlay, behind, or part of the lettering.. It should look like it is tearing apart at high speed... see the photo of the Camaro as an example.
• Element(s) of the sport of motocross
• Element of speed or rapid movement.

Nice to have

• A fantastic color scheme with colors that all jive together.

Should not have

• Since my audience is primarily men, please no pink or purple. No pastel colors. No graffiti or ghetto-looking stuff. No fire. No Old-School or cartoon fonts. No rounded fonts. No Asian fonts.
• NO Gears (I am not a mechanic)
• NO camera aperture (too much like every other photographer)
• NO guy on a motocross bike
