Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a new company. We are a renewable energy development company. We are creating wind and solar projects by developing them from a greenfield site through the community acceptance, government approvals, technically studies and financing to produce a feasibility study and ultimately construct a hybrid wind and solar farm.

The projects we do are large. Large scale Wind and Large scale Solar and both of these elements will be combined to produce a renewable energy park, that is connected to the electricity grid. The projects will typically required bank funding and initial equity funding from venture capital firms.

We do our work because we are passionate about doing something to make the world more sustainable. The founders have over 35 years combined experience in wind and Solar projects in Australia and Europe and we believe we can all do more to create a sustainable future.

Our company is called Lacour Energy inspired by Poul la Cour - the Danish Wind Turbine Pioneer who was the first to create electricity form wind.

We provide an idea sketch of the logo. We would like the word "LACOUR" as the logo.

We want a logo that is red and white in colour and reflects wind & solar power, renewable energy and sustainability.

The letters don't have to be angler and can be rounded and stylised.

We think that several of the letters could be stylized to incorporate drawings of objects to make the letter i.e the "A" could be crafted from a wind turbine symbol or the "O" being a sun.

There are other symbols for power lines and light and wind that could also be used.

I think we would want no more than three letters with this type stylized look, and are happy with one or two, so it does not look gimmicky.

We provide some example symbols that can be used as a basis for the stylized letters.

The final design needs to be comfortable in the community and in the boardroom.
